My History with Drones
As of right now (Oct 10, 2023) I do not have a drone.
But I have had two drones before, these include the
Bwine F7 drone and an early model
of the holystones. (I do not currently remember the name or
the model of the holystone so I do not have an information tab on it)
I started out with the holystone at about the age of 12,
I mainly just had fun with it and messed with my dog and
sisters but I never really dove into the drone community
as a whole. As great as this drone was, it was cheap, so
it didn't last very long with me behind the controls. I
was practicing flying the drone while it was facing towards
me instead of away, and I practiced this inside. Fun fact,
flying most drones inside is a really bad idea, but I didn't
know anny better. After a while of practicing, I somehow got
one of the propellors stuck between the floor and a crack in
the very bottom of the wall. The propellor didn't turn off
so it just overheated and melted the moter on the inside
of the wing. It was alltogether unfixable, expecually by me,
so the drone became a paperweight, a holystone if you will.
For my next drone I was almost 17 and I was starting a college
credit drone class in school. At first I didn't want to take
this class but I had to do it before I could take a private pilot
class. While I was doing some reaserch for a presentation in this
class, I started going down a rabbit hole, I started to love drones
more and more and more. The next day my drone class teacher told
us that in the future having more hours flying drones will get you
more money, and I was already hooked so that was all it took to
get me to go out and spend almost all of my money on one. The drone
that I bought was the Bwine F7 drone. It was
about $600 and I only had $1200 at the time. I guess thats just a good
way of pointing out just how invested in drones I had become overnight.
And suprise suprise this drone didn't last that long either. Although
it wasn't entirely my fault this time. It was only partly my fault
but I'll get to that. So on the day of the crash I was outside, winds
were probably a little stronger than I should've been flying in. And the
sun was setting so I was about to head inside for the night, but when I
was trying to land it for the night one of the wings tilted itself mid-air.
I think this was due to the wind but I still don't know fo sure. After this
it started spinning faster and faster with bigger and bigger rotations. I
was freaking out at this point so I just looked down and suddenly the video cut
out and I couldn't hear the drone anymore. All I could see as the last frame on
my remote was a blur of yellow and brown. It was my worst nightmare, I had
crashed it in a wheatfeild. This means I would have to go in myself and get back
my $600. We found it the next day and here we are now.
I returned it and I am currently looking for a reliable
new one. If you really read that whole thing than feel free to give
some suggestions in the boards.
Bwine F7 Drone

The Bwine F7 drone is the drone that I am using as of right now and I like it a lot more than the past drone that I had which was a holy stone mini. That drone was around $70 and I got it for my birthday about two years ago, but the Bwine F7 drone was $600 of my own money and it is way better for obvious reasons.
